SILAB is not a cosmetics laboratory. It is the innovation laboratory of La Source School of Nursing, HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland. It coaches innovators, teaches innovation to nursing students, and holds events where a healthcare idea has to survive the people who will use it.
The valley from the ward side
The BioAlps series gave SILAB a page because a cluster named for life sciences is incomplete if it only speaks from pharma and devices. SILAB’s starting claim: relevant, sustainable innovation, read from the healthcare professional’s side of the table. Hospitals, schools, foundations, and private rooms are asked to sit together, or the invention remains a slide.
We keep this archive piece beside our own rule that a claim must be readable by the person who will carry the product. A formula that cannot be explained at a desk is not yet a formula.
