BIND – BioInnovation Day is BioAlps’ own table: early projects pitched to academia, hospitals, industry, and capital. The 2026 edition was held on 1 April at CHUV in Lausanne. Three hundred and forty people came. Twenty-nine projects spoke. Four were named.
What was kept
Dexterous Endoscopes, an EPFL spin-off, took Best Startup for a variable-stiffness endoscope meant for ENT, urinary, and gastrointestinal work — flexibility where the path is narrow, force where the path must hold. PreciMune, from UNIL-CHUV with the Ludwig Institute, took Best Academic Project for immune repertoire profiling: who is on a trial, and whether the treatment is being read soon enough.
Impli AG, at Biopôle, took the H4 award for real-time hormone monitoring. MoleSense took the CSEM award for a needle-free patch aimed first at high-risk pregnancy. We do not make instruments of this kind. We keep the note because a cluster that can name a device this carefully is a cluster worth watching from a skincare bench.
