Bioscibex is a Valais biotools house born at EPFL and based at BioArk in Monthey. On 11 June 2026 it took the Prix Créateurs BCVS in Sion, before 450 guests, with 44.7 percent of the public vote. The prize is CHF 25,000, part cash, part coaching.

From the line, not the slide

The instrument is SW1NGO, a bioreactor meant to simplify the making of cell therapies. Months after the public unveiling, the first units have gone to customers for paid trials, after a European launch at ESACT. The claim we keep is not the prize. It is that a machine left the bench and was named by a second pair of hands.

The company has also been selected for the BioTools Innovator 2026 accelerator in Los Angeles. We file this beside our own production notes: a line is only a line when the second batch can be called by the first name.
